Rozenko said that while the living standards of Ukrainian pensioners is low and unsatisfactory, but the government is doing everything to pay pensions.

He stated that the state budget had to allocate an additional 80 billion USD.

Also the Minister of social policy stressed that pensions must occur on a single law. "Pensions must occur on a single law. Special pensions should be abolished, despite the outrage of some officials, people's deputies. Each person must take personal responsibility for what pension he will have in the future," said Rozenko.

Persons belonging to the categories of war veterans, victims of Nazi persecution, children of war, veterans of labor, invalids of Chernobyl I and II categories, from 1 June this year, will continue to exercise their right to free travel in urban and suburban transport in accordance with prescribed government solutions as old age pensioners or disabled people," explained the Minister of social policy of Ukraine Pavlo Rozenko.

The Minister also noted that the decision on concessionary fares in these categories metro will be accepted by the local government of Kiev, Kharkov and Dnepropetrovsk. "The law of Ukraine "On State budget of Ukraine for 2015" provides funds for compensation for the reduced fare of separate categories of citizens in the form of subventions from the state budget to local budgets at the level of the previous year in the amount of UAH 1.9 billion, of which compensation for the reduced fare of $ 1.6 billion UAH", - he noted.

"Government expenditure on compensation of concessionary travel has not decreased", - said Rozenko.

Earlier, at a meeting of the conciliatory Council on may 18 speaker Volodymyr Groysman instructed the relevant committees to begin consultations with ministries on the possibility of indexation of wages and pensions of citizens.

As reported, according to Rozenko, in the Verkhovna Rada deputies turn to him with an appeal not to abolish special pensions. The main scientific and expert Department of the Verkhovna Rada also made a conclusion about the impossibility to abolish special pensions.

In March, the Verkhovna Rada obliged the Cabinet to prepare and submit before may 1, to the Parliament a draft law on the appointment of all pensions, including special (except pensions of military personnel and scientists), on a common basis.

The Cabinet has fulfilled its obligations and April 30, introduced to the Parliament the draft laws on pension reform, which call for the complete abolition from 1 January 2016 special pensions, and running from 1 January 2017 funded system of pension insurance.

Rozenko on the Hour of questions to the government in Parliament urged MPs at the next plenary week, which will be held June 2-5, to pass bills providing for the abolition of special pensions in 2016 and the launch of the cumulative pension system by 2017.
